Headed by Mickey Sharma, the cheerful energy behind making extremely challenging projects appear smooth, Mascot Entertainment is the outcome of his commitment in keeping a dream alive!

Way back in 1997 while working for an enterprise in Film Distribution in the Punjab Territory, a visit to the theatre to check the box-office collection of a film brought him to witness the overwhelming response of the audience. This gave rise to his aspiration to learn how to make a good film and start his own Production Company. “Bus wahi tha” he says, his moment of calling. He quit his job and shifted to Mumbai to pursue his vision. After 3 years of persistent struggle he got his first opportunity to work as a Production Manager on ‘Fear Factor – Season 2’. “Bus yahi chahiye tha, one break to prove my potential” he adds. Thereon from Production Manager to Head of Production he worked with dedication to develop and excel at the skills that go into good Production.

He credits his expertise in budgeting and execution to the mammoth experience gained from working as Head of Production for various reputed formats like Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Farah Ki Dawaat, challenging outdoor shows like INDIA BANEGA MANCH, and grand Events like GLOBAL CITIZEN, GIMA and IIFA Madrid

Through this journey never losing focus of his goal, the day finally came when  he started his own Production House “MASCOT ENTERTAINMENT” a name he chose wishing it to bring luck to others.

Priyanka Monga

Co-founder Priyanka Monga, brings her zodiac fire energy brimming with hope, creativity and an invincible spirit to make the most impossible projects possible!

Born to media professionals her orientation to Filmmaking came early. As a teen she recalls accompanying her parents to various studios and sets. Awestruck by the energy and commitment of the crew to create magic on screen she felt drawn towards being a part of this live action. She realised that there could be no bigger dream than making great cinema and having her own Production company one day!

She began by assisting in direction and production for the home production of her parents. Intrigued by the creative and technical aspects that go into translating an idea onto the screen, she developed her skills in Costume Design, Direction, Production and Screenwriting. She gained professional experience by working for various TV Commercials, Feature Films, Music Shows, Telefilms, Corporates and Fiction Series since 1998. Being a part of an International crew for a film like ‘Samsara’ gave her immense insight into the detailed Pre-production of a Feature Film and gave her exposure to the working culture of professionals across the globe.

With a keen understanding of the rhythm of a movie script, she had her first writer credit for a Hindi Feature film in in 2015. Thereafter, she developed many of her ideas into full length feature films. The holistic experience gained from developing her creative and production skills brought her closer to her goal and she finally co-founded Mascot Entertainment.

Director/DOP

Bibartan Ghosh

A splendid storyteller who adds nuances that resonate with human sensibilities, an efficient Cameraman who will get you stunning visuals and one of the calmest directors we know, Bibartan Ghosh is undoubtedly a producer’s delight.

Our association with him began on one of our most challenging projects, unreal timelines, unforeseen changes in crew, city, location, cast and a whole lot of issues that kept cropping up as the clock ticked. As if this was how it was meant to be, amidst all of this we stumbled upon this unassuming, sincere young guy who immediately grasped the nature of the project, quickly scribbled notes on his Tab and threw us suggestions to sort the odds. A meticulous professional as he is he came back to us with detailing something we believe in too, if it’s sorted on paper it will show on screen. His dedication and positivity instantly matched our vibe and here he is now one of our cherished teammates.

P.s That film went on to win the Screen XX ‘Best Music Video’ award that year.

Director of Photography

Abhimanyu Sengupta

Soft spoken to an extent that he may almost go unnoticed, only until you get to know him closely as you marvel at his rich cinematography and come to appreciate his sharp wit. Abhimanyu Sengupta has a keen eye for detail and brilliant lighting technique. Our first collaboration with him hit the right note as here he was a a young guy with terrific skill to capture the mood of a story, a good listener, a keen observer and an efficient cameraman who complements the director’s vision on screen. His dedication and drive to experiment with his art form got us hooked onto him as one of our teammates.
